A new innovative Tunnel Disassembler has been developed and is operational in the demo separation hub in Etten-Leur (The Netherlands).

Using the Wear2® Thread yarn, which loses strength under the influence of electromagnetic energy, it is possible to fully disassemble clothing at end-of-life.

CircTex focuses on the development of recycling and production technologies in a closed-loop process chain for PET workwear, decreasing non-renewable input materials and the ecological impact in NWE textiles.

The INTERREG Project CircTex will be succesfully closed on 30 June 2023, the conclusions will be presented during the Circular Textile Days in ‘s-Hertogenbosch (NL) on 5 and 6 June!

Different types of textiles and accessories such as logos, tags, labels, zippers, buttons, visibility tape, and other accessories can be separated from each other without damage within 70 seconds using this method.

The resulting textile monomaterials are then quickly and efficiently sorted by type, composition, and color and can be recycled into high-quality, preferably new textiles in their original composition.
